CWL – Catholic Women’s League

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God.

It is the largest national organization of catholic women in Canada. The patroness of the League is the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title Our Lady of Good Counsel.

Members strive for spiritual, cultural and intellectual growth and the development of social action. Some of our activities within our Parish are:

Hosting our Fall Bazaar; Presence and participation at Remembrance Day ceremony; Providing assistance for events in our Parish hall; Donation of refreshments and gifts to our Confirmadi and First Communicants; Providing food to visiting Priests at our Parish; Provide financial support to our Parish for special projects/events (ie new water filtration system at Parish Hall); Support our annual Parish Picnic by preparing/providing food; Providing bursaries to 3 recipients at our local community schools.

In addition to these good works we always find time to include celebrations and gatherings to enhance our faith and fellowship and to have fun!

Our Bishop is very supportive of the League in our Diocese and encourages all catholic women sixteen years and up to become members. There is definitely a place for you in our Council!
